For over 20 years, Clint has focused on advancing electron microscopy methods for cryo-EM through automation and through the development of tools to improve sample vitrification. In 2022 he was named a Founding Technical Director of the Chan Zuckerberg Institute for Advanced Biological Imaging, which aims to push forward the development and application of new imaging technologies to obtain deep insights into the architecture of complex biological systems at the molecular level. Clint co-founded NIS in 2007 with Bridget Carragher, where he served as its President and CEO until 2021. Along with Bridget, he also served as Co-Director of the Simons Electron Microscopy Center, part of the New York Structural Biology Center, from 2015 to 2022.
